    Our COVID Guidelines

In response to the Government’s announcements, MK Gallery wants to ensure the safety of all visitors and staff. Everyone must wear a face covering whilst visiting the Gallery unless you are clinically exempt or a child under the age of 11. When seated in the Café/Bar you may remove your face covering to enjoy food and drinks. Enhanced cleaning procedures will continue throughout the building, hand sanitisers will be widely available, and the NHS Test and Trace app will still be accessible for use.

    Contactless Entry

Our new ticketing system offers print at home tickets as we are now paperless. We encourage you to display them on your phone. Please ensure the barcode is clearly readable upon arrival at the Gallery for contactless entry. Pre-booking for exhibitions, films and events is strongly encouraged to reduce queues and help us manage visitor numbers.

    Feeling Unwell

If you or any of your party feels unwell or needs to self-isolate, you can request to exchange your tickets free of charge. If no alternative date is available, we are able to offer a credit on your account. We ask you to continue to be considerate of others and hope that you enjoy your visit.

All procedures are subject to change as we continue to monitor Government and medical advice.

We are proud to have partnered with the BBC and the Open University to make a short film about our Art and Us programme, in support of the documentary Paddy and Christine McGuiness: Our Family and Autism.

The film shares two families’ experiences of Art and Us and discusses how MK Gallery strives to create an environment that’s welcoming to everyone.

MK Gallery wins Fantastic for Families award

We were delighted to have been announced as one of the winners of the Fantastic for Families Best Family Arts Activity award. Our Inclusive Practise in the Arts team won the award for their ‘Art and Us Sensory Boxes’ project.

    Fantastic for Families said:

“Although it was small scale, this project showed an incredible understanding of and responsiveness to an audience that is underserved.”

Jemima Senior, Inclusion Coordinator at MK Gallery, wrote a case study about the project for Family Arts, which you can read here.
